Privacy notice

This notice covers the contact form and the analytics cookie on this website.

Who we are

CodeArcs is a trading name of AW 2.0 Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (SC324077). Its registered office is 69 Edinburgh Road, Dumfries, DG1 1JX, United Kingdom. AW 2.0 Ltd is the controller for the information you send through the contact form, and for the analytics cookie if you accept it. You can contact us at info@codearcs.io.

What this notice covers

It covers the name, email address, and message you submit on the contact form, and the IP address stored with that submission. It also covers an analytics cookie, which we set only if you accept it. We do not use advertising cookies.

What the contact form collects

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your message
  • Your IP address, which Netlify Forms stores automatically with the submission

We need your name, email address, and message in order to reply.

Why we use the contact form

We use this information to read your enquiry and reply to you. The lawful basis is taking steps toward a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR.

Who receives the contact form

Netlify, Inc. stores the submission in the United States. Akismet (Automattic, Inc., also in the United States) screens each submission for spam, including messages that are placed on the spam list. We may also receive a copy by email. That copy is kept under the same retention rule.

Where the contact form is stored

The submission is stored in the United States. Netlify is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If that certification is not available, Netlify’s Data Processing Agreement uses the Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep contact form data

We keep each submission until the enquiry is closed, and for no longer than 12 months. We then delete it from Netlify’s verified and spam lists, and we delete any email copy.

Analytics cookies

If you press Accept on the cookie banner, we set two cookies on this site. _ga distinguishes your browser. _ga_ followed by our measurement id stores session state. Each lasts about two years, or until you reject them.

We use them to measure traffic: the pages you open, the site that referred you, and your browser and device. Google derives an approximate location from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store the IP address.

Google LLC processes this data in the United States. We do not use it for advertising or ads personalisation. The tag keeps advertising storage off.

The lawful basis is your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Google is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If that certification is not available, Google’s data processing terms use the Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep the analytics data for 2 months. You can press Reject on the banner. You can change your choice at any time with Cookies in the footer. If you reject after accepting, we delete these cookies.

Your rights

You can withdraw consent for the analytics cookie with Cookies in the footer. You can also ask us for access to your information, and to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. Email info@codearcs.io. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
